There was a contest held at the post office jumps on Sunday as part of the Santa Cruz Mountain Bike Festival. 

It was an event to raise money in order to attempt to establish a permanent bike park in Santa Cruz.  They had short track races, pump track races, and a DJ comp.  The DJ comp had a surprisingly good turnout with a pretty decent prize purse.  The jumps were running really well and everyone was shredding.  My brother ended up taking the win and I was close behind in Second and I also won best trick.  Ryan Howard got third and won the best whip award while Cob Hyde won the best transfer award.  It was a good weekend for a good cause and I'm glad that I got to take part.  I've attached some photos that I found from the event and a link to a video filmed by Justin Brantley and Devin Schmitt that went up on the Pinkbike homepage last night...

Now I'm just getting ready for Sea Otter this week!  I thought that I was going to have to miss it this year to go to Argentina but the majority of my sponsors wanted me in Monterey this week.  I decided to hold back and catch those guys on another one of their film trips at a different time.  This will be my 12th year in a row at Sea Otter and I'm lookin forward to it!
